Argentina v Belgium: Tips and prediction – 05.07.2014

By on July 5, 2014
Today from 05:00 pm we will see one of the most interesting matches of Fifa World Cup 2014 Quarter Finals. Argentina will face Belgium and we can say that it will not be a surprise if we will Belgium in the next round of tournament.

Argentina struggled in every game so far. They won only by a margin of one goal in group stage, 2-1 against Bosnia, 1-0 against Iran and 3-2 with Nigeria, while in the last 16 round they managed to score for 1-0 in 118th minute. Marcos Rojo will miss the game, while Sergio Aguero is not 100% fit so he could miss the match too. Sabella will field a 4-2-3-1 formation with Di Maria, Messi and Lavezzi behind Higuain. To be more precise, Lavezzi and Palacio will fight for a starting place.

Belgium, like Argentina, is without defeat so fay. They won all three matches in group stage, 1-0 against South Korea and Russia and 2-1 against Algeria. In the last round they managed to eliminate USA, 0-0 after 90 minutes and 2-1 after 120 minutes, Lukaku being the decisive man. Wilmots will send a 4-2-3-1 formation on the field. Lukaku was man of the match against USA, but there is a big chance to see Origi starting again as the main striker.

Argentina probable lineup:
Romero
Zabaleta – Fernandez – Garay – Basanta
Mascherano – Gago
Lavezzi – Messi – Di Maria
Higuain

Belgium probable lineup:
Courtois
Alderweireld – Buyten – Kompany – Vertonghen
Dembele – Witsel
Mirallas – Bruyne – Hazard
Origi

In 1928 Argentina won against Belgium 6-3. After that they met again in 1982 when Belgium in 1-0 at Fifa World Cup, while four years later Argentina get the revenge, 2-0 at Fifa World Cup too.

Prediction: Belgium +1.0 AH @
As we have seen so far, we expect another tight game. We trust Belgium so we chose to bet on a draw or on their victory. If Argentina will win by a margin of only one goal, then money will be refunded.
The best odds for Argentina vs Belgium: 2.10 – 3.30 – 4.00
