AS Roma v Cagliari: Tips and prediction – 21.09.2014

By on September 21, 2014
AS Roma should not have too many problems against Cagliari Sunday afternoon from 14:00. The match is part of the third fixture of Italy Serie A and the home team is in pole-position.
AS Roma are the runners-up of the last season and they have started very well this new campaign, with two victories in two games. Totti and co have a good goal difference too, 3-0 right now. AS Roma are on the second place in Serie A and a victory could get them on the first one. There is no surprise in the 4-3-3 formation used by AS Roma. Probably we will see Totti partnering Gervinho and Florenzi in the attack. Roma will be without Iturbe, Balzaretti, Astori, Strootman and Castan in this game.
Cagliari are without victory after the first two games in the new edition of Serie A. They ticked a draw, 1-1 away against Sassuolo, and a defeat, 1-2 against Atalanta in front of their own fans. With only one point and a 2-3 goal difference, the away side is on 14th position at the moment. Like AS Roma, Cagliari will use a 4-3-3 formation, but they will have only one missing player, Erkisson to be more precise.
AS Roma probable lineup:
Maicon – Mbiwa – Manolas – Cole
Nainggolan – Rossi – Pjanic
Florenzi – Totti – Gervinho
Cagliari probable lineup:
Balzano – Ceppiteli – Rossettini – Avelar
Ekdal – Conti – Dessena
Ibarbo – Sau – Cossu
Cagliari have won one point in the last game on this stadium, 0-0 in November 2013. After that, Roma took the revenge in the second game, 3-1 away.
Prediction: AS Roma -1.0 AH @ 1.43
There is a clear difference between these two squads and we expect to see that on the scoreboard. We chose to bet on AS Roma’s victory with at least two goals in front, but if they will win by a margin of one goal, our money will be refunded.
The best odds for AS Roma vs Cagliari: 1.30 – 5.00 – 11.00
