AS Roma vs Manchester City: Tips and prediction – 10.12.2014

By on December 9, 2014
AS Roma and Manchester City will be face to face Wednesday evening (21:45, UK Time) in one of the most interesting and one of the most balanced game in the last fixture of UCL group stage.

The italian side have two options here, considering that CSKA Moscow won’t get anything at Munchen against Bayern. They need a victory or a 0-0 here to qualify in the next round of UCL. They are second in Group E, with five points, same as Manchester City and CSKA Moscow. AS Roma are very strong in front of their own fans, having eight wins, one draw and one defeat this season at Olimpico.

AS Roma probable lineup: Sanctis – Maicon, Astori, Mbiwa, Cole – Pjanic, Rossi, Nainggolan – Gervinho, Totti, Ljajic.
Missing players: Castan (injured)
Doubtful: Torosidis

Manchester City struggled in this campaign of Uefa Champions League and they will come here without their best players, Aguero (injured), and Yaya Toure (suspended). Manchester City need three points in Rome or any draw except 0-0. If we talk about away matches, Manchester City are coming after two wins in a row, 3-0 with Southampton and 4-1 with Sunderland. Silva, Jovetic, Kompany and Nastasic are in doubt.

Manchester City probable lineup: Hart – Zabaleta, Mangala, Demichelis, Clichy – Navas, Fernando, Fernandinho, Milner – Nasri – Dzeko.
Missing players: Aguero (injured), Toure (suspended)
Doubful: Silva, Kompany, Jovetic, Nastasic

Prediction: 1X @ 1.40
It is not a very safe bet, but we expect AS Roma to continue their excellent form at Olimpico and we chose to bet on at least one point won by the italians, considering that City will be without Aguero, Toure and few other important players.
The best odds for AS Roma vs Manchester City: 2.45 – 3.50 – 3.00
