Aston Villa vs West Brom: Tips and prediction – 07.03.2015

By on March 6, 2015
The second quarter final in FA Cup will face place Saturday after noon from 17:30 at Villa Park. Aston Villa will host West Bromwich Albion. It will be played only one game, but in case of a draw, we’ll see a replay in WBA’s ground.
Aston Villa are coming after an important victory in Premier League, 2-1 against WBA, so this is the second meeting in a week between these two sides. That was the only Premier League game in the last three months seeing Aston Villa scoring two goals. We have to tell you again that Villa have the worst attack in England this season.
Aston Villa probable lineup: Given – Bacuna, Okore, Clark, Lowton – Cleverley, Westwood, Delph – N’Zogbia – Agbonlahor, Benteke.
Aston Villa missing players: Kozak, Senderos, Baker, Cissokho, Richardson, Hutton.
The away side was in a good form before the last weekend defeat here, with five games in a row undefeated. For West Brom that was the first away defeat in 2015, in six competitive matches. WBA are without victory in their last three trips on Villa Park, since 2011. The odds are very balanced right now, so everything is possible in a game like this one.
WBA probable lineup: Foster – Dawson, McAuley, Lescott, Brunt – Morrison, Fletcher, Yacob, Sessegnon – Berahino, Ideye.
WBA missing players: Anichebe (doubful), McMananam (doubtful).
Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.60
Even if we saw three goals between Villa and WBA last weekend in Premier League, we expect not a tighter game, with maximum two goals, considering that both teams have some problems in the attack and we don’t think that these two will risk very much here.
The best odds for Aston Villa vs WBA: 2.80 – 3.10 – 2.88
