Bayern V AS Roma: Tips and prediction – 05.11.2014

By on November 9, 2014
The first two teams in Group E, Bayern Munchen and AS Roma, will be put face to face Wednesday from 19:45 (UK Time). As everyone expected, Bayern have the first chance, both on the sheet and at bookmakers.

The bavarians have the best numbers in this group, proof that after three games the have nine points and an excellent goal difference, 9-1. We have to say that Bayern are the only ones with a positive goal difference in Group E. Pep Guardiola will have six important missing player. Badstuber, Schweinsteiger, Starke, Alcantara, Reina and Javi Martinez are all injured and will not be available for this game. Muller will be played as the main striker, while Lewandovski will be rested.

AS Roma will try to get a revenge after they suffered a big humiliation two weeks ago in front of their own fans. Roma have four points after three games, being on the second place, with two points ahead of Manchester City, the main team that is fighting for the second position with the italians. Rudi Garcia will be without Castan, Astori and Strootman, all injured and left home. More than that, Maicon and Borriello are not 100% fit and could miss the match too.

As we said, the italians were humiliated two weeks ago at Olimpico. They were defeated by Bayern Munchen, 1-7 after an unbelievable match. It will be hard for Totti & co to take a revenge in Germany.

Prediction: AS Roma +2.5,+3.0 AH @ 1.40
We expect a tighter game than the first one. We don’t see Bayern forcing too much and Guardiola could rest some players. If Roma will lose by three goals, then only half the betting amount will be lost.
The best odds for Bayern vs AS Roma: 1.25 – 6.50 – 14.00
