Bournemouth V Southampton: Tips and prediction – 25.07.2014

By on July 27, 2014
Friday afternoon from 07:45 we will see a very interesting game between two english teams, Bournemouth, a team that comes from Championship and Southampton, a mid-table team from Premier League.

For Bournemouth this is the third friendly of the summer and the home side is without defeat so far, ticking a draw, 2-2 against FC Copenhaga and a victory against Dorchester, 11-0, both matches being played away. Bournemouth showed that it is a very good team on its own ground, but against Southampton will not be a very easy mission.

Southampton is still a very strong team, altough they have lost their best players, Shaw (Man United) and Lambert with Lallana (Liverpool). They will probably lose Lovren too, while Jay Rodriguez is not 100% when it comes about remaining. Southampton mananged to win all three games this summer, 4-0 against Ehc, 6-0 against Hasselt and 1-0 with Swindon four days ago.

SOTON won all three officials games against Bournemouth but five years ago “The Saints” were defeated by this team in a friendly game, 1-2 away too.

Prediction: X2 @ 1.44
We consider Southampton the better team in this game and the away side is in a very good form. More than that, the odds are very good right now for a double chance bet like this one.
The best odds for Bournemouth vs Southampton: 2.63 – 3.50 – 2.25
