Caen V Lille: Tips and prediction – 15.08.2014

By on August 17, 2014
Friday night from 07:30 pm we will see the opening game of the second fixture in France Ligue 1. Caen will host Lille in a very interesting game, the away side starting with the first chance if we take a look over the odds.
Caen are a new-promoted team, but they started very well this campagne, winning 3-0 in the first match on Evian TG ground. After that victory, Caen is on the first place in Ligue 1 with the best goal difference, 3-0. Caen will keep the same formation, 4-5-1. Duhamel will be the main striker, while Raspentino and Nangis will play on the flanks. Felipe Saad will be the only missing player for Caen.
Lille are preparing for Uefa Champions League play-off after they eliminated Grasshoppers in the last round. They didn’t start very well in Ligue 1, drawing against Metz on the own ground without goals. Lille will play a 4-3-3 formation with Rodelin partnering Roux and Mendes in the offensive line. There will be no missing players for the away side.
Caen probable lineup:
Appiah – Silva – Pierre – Imorou
Nangis – Kante – Adeoti – Feret – Raspentino
Lille probable lineup:
Beria – Kjaer – Basa – Sidibe
Delaplace – Gueye – Balmont
Rodelin – Roux – Mendes

Lille controlled the last five meetings with Caen, winning four of them and drawing one. That draw ended with a victory after penalties in Coupe de France few months ago.
Prediction: X2 @ 1.40
We consider Lille the stronger team and we expect them to get at least one point on this ground, altough Caen managed to start much better this season in Ligue 1 after what we saw last week.
The best odds for Caen vs Lille: 3.10 – 3.00 – 2.45
