Dortmund vs Augsburg: Tips and prediction – 04.02.2015

By on February 3, 2015
Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg will be face to face Wednesday evening from 19:00 (UK Time) in the 19th fixture of Bundesliga. The hosts have the first chance, but they dissapointed this campaign so nothing is sure when we talk about Dortmund.
Borussia had a bad start of this second part of the season, getting only a point against Leverkusen so they are on the last place in Bundesliga right now, with 16 points, two less the “rescue zone”. Klopp’s team has not impressed at home, having three wins, two draws and three defeats. They still have some problems with the injuries. To be more precise, Bender, Kehl and Durm will miss the game, while Gundogan is doubtful right now and Ginter could replace him.
The away side was one of the most surprising teams so far and they are still fighting for an Europa League place. Augsburg are on the 5th position right now, with the same number of points as Schalke (4) and M’gladbach (3). If we talk about away games, Augsburg have not impressed, recording only there wins and six defeats, scoring only five goals in nine matches. Moravek, Hitz, Molders, Hong, Matavz and Reinhardt are injured and they will not travel for this game.
Dortmund vs Augsburg probable lineups:
Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Pisczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer – Ginter, Sahin – Kampl, Reus, Mkhitaryan – Aubameyang.
Augsburg (4-1-4-1): Manninger – Verhaegh, Bracker, Klavan, Feulner – Baier – Bobadilla, Hojbjerg, Altintop, Werne – Ji.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.73
As we saw in the last five meetings, since 2012, we expect another game with at least three goals between Dortmund and Augsburg. The last five offered us exactly 4,8 goals per game.
The best odds for Dortmund vs Augsburg: 1.44 – 4.50 – 7.50
