Everton V Chelsea: Tips and prediction – 30.08.2014

By on August 30, 2014
Saturday afternoon from 17:30 we will see the last match of the day in Barclays Premier League, Everton hosting Chelsea. This game will be part of the third fixture in this new Premier League campaign.

Everton won the last home game against Chelsea, last season, 1-0 in Premier League. They are not in an excellent form, considering that in the first two matches they ticked only two draws, 2-2 against Leicester City and the same results against Arsenal. We will probably see a 4-2-3-1 formation from the home side, with Lukaku as the main striker, altough he is not 100% fit. Everton will be without Oviedo, Pienaar, Barkley and Kone, all of them being injured.

Chelsea will have only one missing player, Diego Costa being injured. Andre Schurrle is in doubt, but there is a big chance for him to be with his teammates in at Goodison Park. Chelsea have two victories in the first two games, 3-1 away against Burnley and 2-0 against Leicester City on Stamford Bridge. As we said,  Costa will miss this game and we expect Didier Drogba to take his place in the attack.

Everton probable lineup:
Howard
Coleman – Jagielka – Distin – Baines
McCarthy – Barry
Mirallas – Naismith – McGeady
Lukaku

Chelsea probable lineup:
Courtois
Ivanovic – Cahill – Terry – Azpilicueta
Matic – Fabregas
Willian – Oscar – Hazard
Drogba

Last season we saw two very tight games between Chelsea and Everton. Everton won 1-0 at Goodison Park, while Chelsea won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge so everything is possible in this match.

Prediction: Under 3.0 goals AH @ 1.38
We expect another tight game between these two teams. Last season they offered two goals in total after two meetings and more than that, in the last six games we didn’t saw more than three goals between Chelsea and Everton.
The best odds for Marseille vs Nice: 1.44 – 4.20 – 7.50
