Everton V Lille: Tips and prediction – 06.11.2014

By on November 9, 2014
Everton and Lille will be face to face Thursday evening from 20:05, UK Time. This match is part of the 4th fixture in Europa League group stage. These two teams are in Group H alonside Wolfsburg and Krasnodar and we can say that anything is possible in this group.
Everton are leading the group after the first three games. They recorded a victory and two draws, having five points right now and an impressive goal difference (5-2). We expect a 4-2-3-1 formation from them, with Lukaku as the main striker, considering that Eto’o played 90 minute against Swansea last weekend. The toffees won only two home games this season and they played no fewer than six.
Lille are coming after a bad run, winning only one game from the last ten. Origi, Kjaer and his teammates ticked three draws in Europa League so far, being on the third place with three points and a 2-2 goal difference. They need a good result at Goodison Park, otherwise their chances to qualify in the next round will be considerably reduced. The french side scored only two goals in the last six away games.
Two weeks ago we saw a boring game between Lille and Everton, a game that ended with a goalless draw. Lille controlled that match in our opinion.
Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.70
After the goalless draw two weeks ago, we expect another very tight game without many goals. Lille are in a bad form, while Everton will not risk very much here, so we chose to bet on maximum two goals.
The best odds for Everton vs Lille: 1.80 – 3.75 – 5.00
