Everton vs Liverpool: Tips and prediction – 07.02.2015

By on February 7, 2015
The Merseyside Derby will take place this Saturday evening from 17:30, UK Time, being part of the 24th fixture in Barclays Premier League. The odds are very balanced, but Liverpool seem to be a little in pole-position.
Everton had a very bad season so far, proof that they are struggling in the bottom half of the table after 23 rounds. The toffees managed to win only 26 points in 23 games and they have a negative goal difference of 31-34. The hosts played 11 game on Goodison Park this campaign, ticking three wins, five dras and three defeats. Roberto Marinez will be without Howard, Osman and Pienaar, injured, while Atsu is at African Cup of Nations.
On the other side, Liverpool are coming after an excellent run in Premier League, being undefeated in the seven league games. The cormorans are on the 7th place right now, but they are closer to Top 4 after their good run, having four points less than Southampton. Jones and Flanagan are still unavailable, Toure is at the national team, while Lucas, Markovic and Lallana are in doubt at the moment.
Everton vs Liverpool probable lineups:
Everton (4-2-3-1): Robles – Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines – Barry, Besic – Naismith, Barkley, Mirallas – Lukaku.
Liverpool (3-4-3): Mignolet – Can, Skrtel, Sakho – Henderson, Gerrard, Lucas, Moreno – Sterling, Sturridge, Coutinho.
Prediction: X2 @ 1.35
The odds are not so high for this bet, but we expect Liverpool to confirm their excellent form from the last weeks and to win at least one point against their local rivals this Saturday.
The best odds for Everton vs Liverpool: 3.40 – 3.40 – 2.30
