FC Basel v Liverpool: Tips and prediction – 01.10.2014

By on October 1, 2014
Wednesday evening from 19:45 we will see a very interesting match in Group B of Uefa Champions League. FC Basel will host Liverpool in a match that could be decisive in the fight for the second place of the group.
The swiss are coming after a very bad result in the first game of UCL, 1-5 on Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, the winners of last edition in Champions League. Basel will have two missing players for this match, Ivan Ivanov, injured, while Marcelo Diaz will miss it due to an injury so Die or Elneny could be in the first eleven.
Liverpool have not the best start of the season, struggling in Premier League. Their objective is Top 4 right now and in UCL they hope to get the second place in this group. The Reds won the first game, 2-1 against Ludogorets on Anfield Road after a very tight match. Rodgers will be without Flanagan, Johnson, Allen, Emre Can and Sturridge. More than that, Sakho was left out of the squad for the second time.
FCBasel vs Liverpool probable lineups:

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.70
Both teams need to get a good result in this game. We expect a spectacular match, with Basel and Liverpool trying to score goals. In this case, we expect at least three goals in Switzerland.
The best odds for FC Basel vs Liverpool: 3.70 – 3.60 – 2.10
