FC Porto V Barcelona: Tips and prediction – 25.07.2014

By on July 27, 2014
One of the most interesting games of this Friday will be this one, between FC Porto and FC Barcelona. Last time when they were face to face happened in 2011 in European Super Cup, 2-0 for Barcelona at that time.

FC Porto started very well its preparation for the next campaign with two victories in the first two friendlies so far, 6-2 against Venlo and 3-1 against Genk. There is no doubt about the fact that the lusitans are starting with the second chance in this game, considering that Barcelona will have its best players from now, Messi and his team-mates coming from vacation.

Barcelona have played only one friendly game this summer, winning 1-0 against Huelva six days ago to be more precise, but the catalans used the second team. Messi, Mascherano and other important players being in vacation after they played at FIFA World Cup 2014. Barca is in pole-position, altough the odds are no in the offers right now.

As we said, in 2011 was the last time when these two teams were face to face. Barca won 2-0 at that time. More than that, Barca won all other matches against Porto, 2-0 and 4-2 in 2000 and 3-0 in 1994.

Prediction: Both teams to score – Yes
Both teams have very good attacks and we expect a very spectacular game with goals from both sides. Porto showed a very good attacking game in the last two friendlies while Barca doesn’t need any introduction when it comes about offensive.
