FC Porto vs FC Basel: Tips and prediction – 10.03.2015

By on March 10, 2015
FC Porto and FC Basel will face each other today from 19:45 in the second leg of the last 16 round in Uefa Champions League. Both teams hope to qualify in the next round after we saw a 1-1 in Switzerland three weeks ago.

FC Porto are coming here after an impressive run of games, with seven wins and a draw in the last eight competitive matches. The are still hoping for the title in Portugal as well, but Benfica have four more points right now. The portuguese side managed to win the past seven home games in all competitions. Porto will come here without Oliver and Adrian, both injured.
FC Porto probable lineup: Fabiano – Danilor, Maicon, Marcano, Sandro – Neves, Casemiro, Herrera – Tello, Martinez, Brahimi.
FC Porto missing players: Oliver, Adrian.

On the other hand, FC Basel have to score here to hope for the qualification. The away side conceded a goal in the first leg on the own ground and that surely is not an advantage for them. Basel are coming after three wins in a row, scoring ten goal, but they have not impressed in the away matches this year, with two wins and a defeat, conceding five goals.
FC Basel probable lineup: Vaclik – Xhaka, Schar, Samuel, Safari – Frei, Elneny – Gonzalez, Zuffi, Gashi – Streller.
FC Basel missing players: Ivanov, Suchy.

Prediction: 1@ 1.44
We expect FC Porto to confirm their superiority in this match, in front of their on fans, having the advantage of the own pitch. More than that, Porto are in a much better form right now.
The best odds for Porto vs Basel: 1.44 – 4.50 – 9.00
