Finland V Romania: Tips and prediction – 14.10.2014
By tipsterbets on October 14, 2014
Finland and Romania will be face to face Tuesday evening starting at 19:45, UK Time, in the third round of European Championship Qualifications. If we take a look at the odds it is very complicate to say which team has the first chance.
Finland had a good start, proof that they ticked a victory in the first game, 3-1 against Faroe Islands away and after that they managed to get a points against Greece, 1-1 at home after Hurme scored the equalizer in the second half. With four points and a good goal difference, 4-2, the finns are on the second place in Group F, two points behind Northen Ireland.
Romania have started very well this campaign, winning the most difficult game in teory, 1-0 away in Greece. Victor Piturca and his players managed to get only one point against Hungary three days ago after they controlled the whole game and leading on the scoreboard in the first place. After Rusescu managed to score in the last game, he will probably start once again, Marica being injured and Stancu being out of form.
Romania face Finland eight times before. They managed to win six games so far, starting with 1970. The two others ended with draws, 1-1 in 1972 and 1985. The last game between these sides were in 2005, 1-0 for Romania away.
Romania vs Finlanda probable lineups:
Finlanda (4-1-4-1): Maenpaa – Arkivuo, Toivio, Moisander, Hurme – Sparv – Ring, Riski, Eremenko, Hetemaj – Pukki.
Finlanda (4-1-4-1): Maenpaa – Arkivuo, Toivio, Moisander, Hurme – Sparv – Ring, Riski, Eremenko, Hetemaj – Pukki.
Romania (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu – Chiriches, Grigore, Gardos, Rat – Pintilii, Hoban – Torje, Sanmartean, Tanase – Rusescu
Prediction: X2 @ 1.42
We have big expectations from Romania in this match, altough they didn’t show a very good game against Hungary last weekend. We chose to bet on them winning at least one point in Finland.
The best odds for Finland vs Romania: 2.90 – 3.20 – 2.70
