France V Germany: Tips and Prediction – 04.07.2014

By on July 3, 2014
France and Germany will be put face to face Friday evenind from 05:00 pm in the first match of Quarter Finals at Fifa World Cup 2014. At first view, we can say that the germans have the first chance, proof that they are in pole-position at bookmakers too.
France showed good attitude in the first four matches in Brazil. Sakho and his team-mates won seven points in group stage out of nine and after that they managed to defeat Nigeria in the last 16 round, 2-0 few days ago. France is without defeat since November 2013. They played nine games since then, winning seven and drawing two. Deschamps will field a 4-3-3 formation. Benzema is the main striker, while Griezmann and Valbuena will support him from the flanks.
The other side, Germany is one of the biggest favorites at this tournament. They started with a clear victory, 4-0 against Portugal, but after that they struggled against Ghana, 2-2, and USA, 1-0. In the last 16 round Muller & co managed to win against Algeria, 2-1 after 120 minutes. Low will chance the formation and there is a big chance to see a 4-3-3 formation with Khedira, Kroos and Schweinsteiger as midfielders, while Lahm will be back at right back.
France probable lineup:
Debuchy – Varane – Sakho – Evra
Pogba – Cabaye – Matuidi
Valbuena – Benzema – Griezmann
Germany probable lineup:
Lahm – Mertesacker – Hummels – Howedes
Kroos – Khedira – Schweinsteiger
Ozil – Muller – Gotze
In 2012 and 2013 there two national teams were face to face for two friendly games. France won 2-1 in Februarie 2012 away, while Germany won in February 2013 with the same score, away too.
Prediction: X2 @ 1.40
It will be a tight game, but we expect the germans to confirm their superiority. They have a stronger squad, with quality on every position. We chose a safe bet, with double chance, a draw or victory for Germany to be more precise.
The best odds for France vs Germany: 3.00 – 3.25 – 2.60
