Hart impressed with incredible Suarez

Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart has hailed the performances of one time Premier League top scorer, Luis Suarez and stated that he was not in shock at the impact that the former Liverpool man had on the game considering his influence on the Merseyside outfit particularly last season. From what many will term an impossible angle, Luis Suarez blazed home to hand Barcelona their lead. His prior strike had been turned off by Vincent Kompany after Jordi Alba sent in a decent cross with fifteen minutes left in the first period.

After a wonderful season with Liverpool, Barcelona forced his transfer from Anfield with a fee of about 90 million euros and Hart believes that the Uruguayan has proved his worth with such breath-taking strikes at the Etihad on Tuesday. While speaking to ITV, Hart stated that Suarez is a wonderful addition to the Barcelona team, he added that despite efforts of City defenders to keep tabs on him, the striker was still able not only to move in time to get chances but also executing them in style.

Having ended the first half in a 2-0 deficit, Manuel Pellegrini knew he had to salvage the day if he was to have any string of hope at the Camp Nou. With the fans chanting on despite an impending loss the hosts pestered and were rewarded with a goal of their own. Despite getting themselves together in the second half, Joe Hart still had to step forward to save the day after Barcelona were awarded a late penalty. Lionel Messi took the kick but did little to beat the City keeper who parry out of sight.

Despite the loss, Hart is optimistic that City can still grind something out of the return leg to ensure their qualification and with Yaya Toure billed to face his former employers at the Catalans, Manchester City can only hope for the best.
