Inter Milano vs St. Etienne: Tips and prediction – 23.10.2014

By on October 22, 2014
Inter Milano seem to be in pole-position against Saint Etienne Thursday evening in Uefa Europa League group stage. This fact is showed by the bookmakers too, but we expect a very balanced game, starting at 20:05, UK Time.

The italians are not in their best form this season, proof that in Serie A they are struggling. If they will continue this way then they will probably miss the european competitions next season. Surprinsigly, Inter showed a very good attitude in Europa League, winning both games so far without conceding a goal, 2-0 against Qarabag and 1-0 against Dnipro. Mazzarri will be without four of his best players. Campagnaro, Osvaldo, D’Ambrosio and Nagatomo are all injured.

St. Etienne are looking very good from a defensive point of view, considering that they didn’t concede a goal so far, same as Inter. Their situation is not so good, proof that the french side ticked only two goalless draw against Dnipro and Qarabag. St. Etienne won the last game, 1-0 five days ago in Ligue 1, ending a bad run of four games without victory.

Inter Milano vs St. Etienne probable lineups:
Inter (3-5-1-1): Handanovic – Ranocchia, Vidic, Jesus – Jonathan, Hernanes, Medel, Guarin, Dodo – Palacio – Icardi.
St Etienne (4-2-3-1): Ruffier
– Catherine, Sall, Perrin, Tabanou – Clement, Lemoine – Gradel, Cohade, Paquet – Wolfswinkel.

Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.75
We expect a very tight game betweent these two teams, their strongest point being the defence right now, proof that they didn’t concede any goal so far, as we said.
The best odds for Inter vs St. Etienne: 1.75 – 3.80 – 5.25
