Japan v Uruguay: Tips and prediction – 05.09.2014

By on September 3, 2014
Friday morning from 11:25 we will see a very interesting game between Japan and Uruguay. It is hard to say which team starts with the first chance, but if we take a look at the odds, then Uruguay have the advantage.

Japan didn’t impress at FIFA World Cup 2014. Kagawa, Honda and their teammates ticked only a draw and two defeats in Brazil, going home after the group stage. Japan are still looking for their first victory against Uruguay. The managed to win all the five home games in the last 12 months, scoring more than three goals per match.

Uruguay will have to play this friendly game without their best player, Luis Suarez, the striker being suspended until Octomber 27. The south american side played four matches at FIFA World Cup 2014, reaching the last 16 round. They were eliminated by Colombia, 0-2. Uruguay ticked three victories, one draw and only one defeat in the last five away matches.

These two teams were face to face three times in the recent history of football. They drew in 2003, 2-2, and Uruguay won 3-1 in 2008 and 4-2 in 2013, all three games being played in Japan.

Prediction: X2 @ 1.40
We expect another good game from the south-americans and we chose a double chance bet. To be more precise, we expect Uruguay to get at least a draw in this game, altough they are without Luis Suarez.
The best odds for Japan vs Uruguay: 2.80 – 3.20 – 2.50
