Lille vs Everton: Tips and prediction – 23.10.2014

By on October 22, 2014
One of the most exciting game of Thursday evening in Europa League will take place in France. To be more precise, Lille will host Everton from 18:00, UK Time, and we think that anything is possible in a game like this one.

Lille have one of the best defensive play in France and not only. They are very hard to defeat, especially on their own ground. After two games played in Europa League group stage, the home side has only two points in its account. They lost the last home game, 1-2 five days ago against Guingamp, after six home matches without defeat in all competitions.

Everton had a very bad start this season, proof that after eight games in Premier League they are in the bottom half of the table. The toffees are getting better, winning the last game, 3-0 against Aston Villa on Goodison Park. Ross Barkley came back after an injury, starting his first game this season. We expect Roberto Martinez to send him from the first minute against Lille too. Everton will be without Mirallas, Stones, Distin and Kone in France.

Lille vs Everton probable lineups:
Lille (4-2-3-1): Enyeama – Beria, Basa, Kjaer, Sidibe – Mavuba, Balmont – Origi, Traore, Rodelin – Roux.
Everton (4-2-3-1): Howard – Coleman, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Baines – McCarthy, Barry – Atsu, Barkley, Pienaar – Eto’o.

Prediction: Under 1.5 goals in the second half @ 1.53
Lille have a very strong defence and we expect to see this fact on the scoreboard. We expect a very tight game, with Everton without risking too much. Probably the british side will be happy with one point.
The best odds for Lille vs Everton: 2.60 – 3.30 – 3.00
