Liverpool v Everton: Tips and prediction – 27.09.2014

By on September 25, 2014

The most attractive game of the 6th fixture in Barclays Premier League will take place Saturday from 12:45 and will put face to face Liverpool and Everton the Merseyside Derby, one of the most important in british football.

Liverpool have the first chance in this match, altough the home team is not the best form. After five games, The Reds won only six points and have a negative goal difference, 7-8 right now. In this case, Liverpool are only on the 11th place, seven points behind Chelsea and three points behind Top 4. Rodgers will be once again without Allen, Can, Johnson and Flanagan, but Sturridge is expected to be fit.

Everton have a bad start too, proof that after five matches they managed to win only one game, 2-0 against WBA away two weeks ago. The Toffees have only five points and a bad goal difference, 11-13, with the worst defence in the league. Before this round Everton are on the 14th place in Premier League, only one point ahead the relegation zone.

Liverpool won the last match on Anfield Road against Everton, 4-0 in January after they drew 3-3 at Goodison Park in November 2013.

Liverpool vs Everton probable lineups:

Liverpool (4-3-1-2): Mignolet – Manquillo, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno – Henderson, Gerrard, Lallana – Sterling – Balotelli, Sturridge.
Everton (4-2-3-1): Howard – Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines – McCarthy, Barry – Mirallas, Naismith, McGeady – Lukaku.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.80

Everton are in a very bad form and Liverpool will have Daniel Sturridge. We expect the cormorans to win this derby, being the better side at first view. More than that, the odds are very good too.

The best odds for Liverpool vs Everton: 1.80 – 3.75 – 4.20
