Man United vs Liverpool: Tips and prediction – 14.12.2014

By on December 14, 2014
The most exciting game of this weekend is coming from Barclays Premier League. To be more precise, Manchester United will host their arch-rivals from Liverpool in the 16th fixture of this campaign. The kick-off will be Sunday from 15:30.

Manchester United are the most in form in Premier League right now, being the only ones with 15 points won in the last five league matches. Van Gaal’s team is on the third position at the moment after a bad start of the season. They had five points behind Manchester City and eight behind Chelsea before this round and right now we can’t talk about the title race and Man United. Di Maria is the most important missing player, while Smalling, Lingard, shaw, Rafael and Blind will miss the match too.

Liverpool have a bad moral right now, coming after the Uefa Champions League elimination. They will fight for Europa League now, but they also have some problems in Premier League. The cormorans are only on the 9th place after 15 matches played, with 21 points and an unimpressive goal difference of 19-19. The Reds will be without Flanagan, Suso, Sturridge and Balotelli, all of them being unavailable due to some injuries.

Last season Liverpool won 3-0 here after they controlled the whole game, that one being their only victory at Old Trafford in the last five years.

Man United vs Liverpool probable lineups:
Man United (3-4-1-2): De Gea – Evans, Carrick, Rojo – Valencia, Fellaini, Herrera, Young – Mata – van Persie, Rooney.
Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Mignolet – Johnson, Skrtel, Toure, Moreno – Lucas, Henderson – Coutinho, Gerrard, Sterling – Lambert.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.83
As we said, the hosts are the most in form in Premier League right now and we expect them to get three points here against Liverpool, a team that is having a bad season, especially if we talk about away matches.
The best odds for Man United vs Liverpool: 1.83 – 3.75 – 4.75
