Marseille vs Toulouse: Tips and prediction – 19.10.2014

By on October 18, 2014

The best team in France Ligue 1 so far, Olympique Marseille, will face Toulouse in the first match of Sunday in french football. The game will start at 13:00, UK Time, and the home side is in pole-position.

Marseille are in a fabulous form at the moment, considering that they managed to win the last seven games in Ligue 1 after a bad start. They have 22 points after nine games played, leading the table, with four more points than PSG and a match in hand. OM ticked three wins and one defeat in four home games. Marcelo Bielsa will field a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Gignac in the attack. We should say that Marseille will not have any injured or suspended player for this match.

Toulouse have a very strong squad and they hope to finish in the top half of the table at the end of the season. The away team have 14 points right now and a positive goal difference, 13-11, the attack being their strongest point. Toulouse are only three points behind the Top 3 right now so we expect them to fight very hard at Stade Velodrome against Marseille. Dragos Grigore will lead the defence in a 3-5-2 formation.

These two teams were face to face three times last season. In Ligue 1 we saw only two draws, 1-1 and 2-2, but in Coupe de la Ligue we saw a victory for Marseille, 2-1 at home.

Marseille vs Toulouse probable lineups:
Marseille (4-2-3-1): Mandanda – Djedje, N’Koulou, Morel, Mendy – Imbula, Romao – Thauvin, Payet, Ayew – Gignac.

Toulouse (3-5-2): Boucher – Veskovac, Grigore, Moubandje – Akpro, Doumbia, Aguilar, Trejo, Sylla – Yedder, Braithwaite.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.60

Marseille seem to be the best team in Ligue 1 and we expect them to continue this way. They have to win this match to get back at seven points ahead PSG. More than that, the odds are very attractive.

The best odds for Marseille vs Toulouse: 1.60 – 3.75 – 5.75
