Netherlands v Argentina: Tips and prediction – 09.07.2014

By on July 7, 2014
Netherlands and Argentina will face each other in Fifa World Cup 2014 Semi Finals, this Wednesday from 09:00 pm. It will be a very interesting game and we should expect a very spectacular match between two teams with quality in attack.
Netherlands have struggled in Quarter Finals against Costa Rica, winning after penalties. It’s interesting that Robben & co managed to win all four matches until they met Costa Rica. Van Gaal will field the same formation, 3-4-1-2 with Robben moving to a more central position, alongside van Persie in attack. Nigel de Jong will miss the game, while Leroy Fer is not 100% after an injury.
Argentina is without victory against Netherlands after six meetings. They managed to win four out of five games at Fifa World Cup 2014 and they drew in the last 16 round against Switzerland, 0-0, winning in 118th minute after Di Maria found the net. He will miss this game due to an injury, but the doctors said that he could be back for the final if Argentina will qualify ahead of Netherlands. Messi will be the central attacking midfielder in this game, supporting Higuain and Aguero.
Netherlands probable lineup:
Vrij – Vlaar – Indi
Kuyt – Guzman – Wijnaldum – Blind
van Persie – Robben
Argentina probable lineup:
Zabaleta – Garay – Demichelis – Rojo
Perez – Mascherano – Gago
Aguero – Higuain
As we said, Argentina is still looking for the first victory against Netherlands. Last time when they met was in 2006 and they drew at Fifa World Cup 2006 without any goals.
Prediction: Netherlands +0.1,+1.0 AH @
We trust Netherlands in this game. Argentina will be without Di Maria, one of the keys players. We expect a tight game and if Netherlands will lose the game, then only half of money will be lost, the other half being refunded.
The best odds for Netherlands vs Argentina: 3.25 – 3.20 – 2.45
