Nigeria V South Africa: Tips and prediction – 19.11.2014

By on November 18, 2014
Nigeria and South Africa will be face to face Wednesday from 17:00 (UK Time) in the last fixture of Africa Cup of Nations. The home side needs a victory here, while the away team is already qualified at the final tournament.

Nigeria had a very bad start in this campaign, with only one point won after three games. They ticked two victories after that and right now they have seven points and a good goal difference (7-5), being on the second place in Group A. The goal difference is the only thing that makes a difference between Nigeria and Congo, so nigerians have only one option here, a victory.

South Africa are unbeaten so far, proof that they ticked three wins and two draws this campaign. They have 11 points and an impressive goal difference, 7-1, with the best attack and the best defence in Group A. South Africa recorded two wins in two away games so far, scoring five goals without conceding one.

Nigeria won four of the last five games with South Africa in the past six years. The last meeting between these two sides took place two months ago and we saw a goalless draw.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.50
South Africa have no real interest in this game, while Nigeria should give their best to win three poinst here and to remain with the first chance for the second place in Group A.
The best odds for Nigeria vs South Africa: 1.50 – 4.00 – 5.00
