Pekerman backs Falcao to shine at Man Utd

Colombian national team coach, Jose Pekerman has expressed concerns over Radamel Falcao’s situation at Manchester United but remains very confident that the striker will soon find his feet in the English Premier League. The 28-year-old has endured a difficult start to life at Manchester since his loan move from French heavy weights AS Monaco towards the end of last season’s summer transfer.

To be fair to the striker, he has been hoping in and out of injury worries since his arrival at the club and many have feared that the striker might be facing an injury reoccurrence seeing as he was side-lined for about 7 months at Monaco before Louis van Gaal made arrangements for his loan.

After his recuperation, Falcao showed flashes of brilliance enough to show the Old Trafford faithful that he has the quality to excel at the club but his injury worries hampered his chance to really shine at the time when Robin van Persie was seeing a serious dip in form.

Pekerman is particularly worried about Falcao’s form considering the fact that the Copa America is just around the corner but the coach is convinced that he has nothing to fear on the ability of the striker. While speaking to Caracol Radio, the coach stated that it is currently a very difficult time for Falcao but when you consider his track records, you will realise that he is a world class player who has a winning mentality and also works very hard.

Pekerman noted that the most important thing at the moment is that the striker is not inured as that would have spelt doom for his chances at the continental competition. Falcao made the team list in Manchester United’s FA Cup outing where they secured a humiliating draw against lowly rated Cambridge United but Pekerman believes that the Colombian is a dynamite waiting to explode once he finds his feet at the club.
