Portugal v Ghana: Tips and prediction – 26.06.2014

By on June 26, 2014
Portugal and Ghana will face each other Thursday at 07:00 pm, the Lusitania side being in pole-position when it comes about online bookmakers. Both teams has minimum chances to qualify for the next round.

Portugal’s odds are around 2.20 right now. Cristiano Ronaldo and his team-mates are on the fourth place in Group G and they need a miracle. They must win this game with a margin by at least 3-4 goals and SUA must lost against Germany with 2-3 goals in this case. The european side will play the same 4-3-3 formation, Ronaldo being announced as central forward. Coentrao and Hugo Almeida are injured, Pepe is still suspended, while Andre Almeida and Postiga are in doubt.

Ghana showed a good quality in the last matches but the results were bad. They lost 1-2 against USA after they controlled the whole game, and after that they get a draw against Germany, 2-2. In 2010 Ghana played quarter-finals, but now there are small chances for Gyan & co. They will not have Sulley Muntari, suspended for this crucial game. It will be interesting to see Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayer starting togheter.

Portugal probable lineup:
Beto
Pereira – Alves – Costa – Almeida
Meireles – Carvalho – Moutinho
Varela – Ronaldo – Nani

Ghana probable lineup:
Dauda
Afful – Mensah – Boye – Asamoah
Rabiu – Badu
Atsu – Ayew – Ayew
Gyan

Prediction: Both teams to score –  Yes @ 1.50
We expect to see two teams that will fight to win the all three points. Both teams are good when it comes about attack and there is a big chance to see them scoring. Ronaldo is hungry for goal and this could means a lot.
The best odds for Portugal vs Ghana: 2.20 – 4.00 – 3.10
