PSG v Guingamp: Tips and prediction – 02.08.2014

By on August 2, 2014
Saturday afternoon from 01:00 pm we will see the first official game in french football this season. To be more precise, PSG will face Guingamp in France Super Cup, the parisians being in pole-position.

PSG is the favorite team at bookmakers, with odds around 1.40 right now. The Ligue 1 champions are coming after five friendlies this summer, with four wins and only one defeat, the attack being in an excellent form with more than 3 goals scored per game. Probably we will see a 4-3-3 formations from PSG, with Moura, Ibrahimovic and Cavani in the attacking line.

Guingamp finished only 16th last season in Ligue 1, but this team will play in Europa League after they managed to win Coupe de France. After two friendlies this summer, Guingamp ticked a victory and a defeat and it is normal to have the second chance against a team like PSG. It is a big chance to see a classic 4-4-2 formation from this team.

PSG probable lineup:
Sirigu
Aurier – Luiz – Silva – Digne
Motta – Cabaye – Matuidi
Moura – Ibrahimovic – Cavani

Guingamp probable lineup:
Samassa
Baca – Angoua – Sorbon – Lemaitre
Beauvue – Diallo – Sankhare – Marveaux
Yatabare – Schwartz

The last two meetings were in France Ligue 1 last season. PSG won the home game, 2-0, while the away match finished with a draw, 1-1.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.40
There is no doubt about the differences between these two sides. PSG is the stronger team and we expect to see this fact on the scoreboard too with the parisian team winning the Super Cup.
The best odds for PSG vs Guingamp: 1.40 – 4.50 – 8.00
