Romania V Northen Ireland: Tips and prediction – 14.11.2014

By on November 12, 2014
National Arena from Bucharest will host the 4th fixture derby of Group F in Euro 2016 Qualifications. To be more precise, Romania will host Northen Ireland, starting with 19:45 (UK Time).

Romania had a very good start of this campaign, proof that they managed to beat Greece away in the first game, 1-0, and after that they took four points against Hungary and Finland. Victor Piturca is no more their coach, the new one being Anghel Iordanesc, one of the veterans of romanian football. Romania have seven points and a good goal difference after three matches (4-1).

Northen Ireland is the surprising leader of Group F after three matches, having nine points in their account out of nine, winning the all three games so far. They defeated Hungary, 2-1 away, Faroe Islanda with 2-0 at home and they won against Greece away too, 2-0 exactly one month ago. Another good result here could give them a good chance to qualify at Euro 2016.

This is the 4th meeting between Romania and Northen Ireland. Northen-irish side won two times, 3-2 at home in 1984 and 1-0 here one year later, but Romania won the last game, 2-0 away in 2006 in a friendly game.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.57
