Southampton vs Everton - Tips and prediction - 15.08.2015

The first game on the list this Saturday in Premier League will put face to face Southampton and Everton, from 12:45, UK Time. The match is part of the second fixture in EPL and the odds give us Southampton as the favourite side.

The Saints are coming after a good result in the first round, 2-2 at St. James’ Park against Newcastle United. Altough they lost many important players last summer and this summer, Soton is still a strong side and we see them fighting for an Europa League place once again. They are qualified in the UEL play-off after they eliminated Vitesse from Netherlands without too many problems, 3-0 here and 2-0 away.

Southampton probable lineup (4-2-3-1): Stekelenburg – Soares, Fonte, Yoshida, Targett – Davis, Wanyama – Rodriguez, Tadic, Mane – Pelle.
Southampton missing players: Forster, Gardos.

Just like their opponents, Everton ticked a 2-2 draw in the first game of this season, against Watford, a new promoted team. They had real problems, being led twice in that game. If we take a look at the odds, Everton are the underdogs here and this is something normal considering that Soton became a strong side in the english football in the past couple of years. The Toffees have a long injury list and this could be an important problem.

Everton probable lineup (4-2-3-1): Howard – Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Galloway – McCarthy, Barry – Naismith, Barkley, Cleverley – Lukaku.
Everton missing players: Hibbert, Pienaar, Gibson, Baines, Deulofeu (doubtful), Mirallas (doubtful).
