St. Pauli vs Dortmund: Tips and prediction – 28.10.2014

By on October 27, 2014
Borussia Dortmund will not have an easy mission Tuesday evenind from 19:30 (UK Time) in DFB Pokak against St. Pauli. These two teams will fight for a place in the next round, the last 16 round to be more precise.

St. Pauli are coming after two defeats in 2. Bundesliga, 0-1 away with Dusseldorf and 0-4 at home with Karlsruher. They have a good team, but against Borussia Dortmund they are the underdogs without any doubts, altough Klopp’s team is not in its best form. St. Pauli have lost only two games of the last five on their own ground, 0-4 three days ago with Karlsruher and 1-2 against Munchen 1860 last month.

Borussia Dortmund are really struggling in Bundesliga, proof that they have lost the last four matches, being on the 15th position right now, the first one over the relegation zone. It is very interesting that Borussia have three wins after three matches in UCL, without conceding a goal so far. They ticked only two victories and three defeats in the last five away matches.

Borussia Dortmund managed to win both matches on this stadium in the last 15 years, 2-1 in 2001 and 3-1 four years ago in Bundesliga. The won the title at the end of that season.

Prediction: Dortmund -1.5 AH @ 1.65
Altough the away team is not in the best form, we expect Reus & co to get a clear victory against a second division team, with at least two goals in front. More than that, the odds are very attractive.
The best odds for St. Pauli vs Dortmund: 11.00 – 6.50 – 1.22
