Switzerland v France: Tips and prediction – 20.06.2014

By on June 20, 2014
The most important match in Group E at FIFA World Cup 2014 will put face to face the best teams of this group, Switzerland and France. The first whistle will take place this evening at 08:00 pm.
Switzerland is an underrated team so we could expect a good game from them, with players like Rodriguez or Shaqiri in a very good form. This side won all three points in the first match against Ecuador, 2-1 after Seferovic scored the winning goal in the injury time. Switzerland will play the same formation, 4-2-3-1, Drmic and Seferovic fighting for a starting place in attack.
France starts with the first chance if we talk about bookmakers. With Benzema in a very good form, this side could ensure its place in the last 16 if the team will manage to win against Switzerland. Cabaye is doubtful at the moment but there is a big chance to see him in the first eleven again. Griezmann and Valbuena will partner Benzema in attack once again.
Switzerland probable lineup:
Lichsteiner – Djourou – Bergen – Rodriguez
Behrami – Inler
Shaqiri – Xhaka – Mehmedi
France probable lineup:
Debuchy – Varane – Sakho – Evra
Pogba – Matuidi – Cabaye
Valbuena – Benzema – Griezzman
These two teams met four times in the last ten years. France won with 3-1 at Euro 2004 and after that we saw two draws in 2005, and another one at World Cup 2006.
Prediction: Over 0.5 goals in the first half @ 1.42
We expect at least one goal in the first half of this game. The same thing happened in the first round in Switzerland v Ecuador and Franta v Honduras. The odds are very good for this bet at the moment.
The best odds for Switzerland vs France: 4.50 – 3.60 – 1.91
