Tottenham v Besiktas: Tips and prediction – 02.10.2014

By on October 2, 2014
Tottenham and Besiktas will be face to face Thursday evening from 20:05 in the second fixture of Europa League group stage. The londoners are in pole-position, but they will not have an easy mission for sure.
Spurs are coming after a difficult game in Premier League, against their arch-rivals, Arsenal, drawing 1-1 at Emirates. Tottenham are not in their best form in this first part of the season and we don’t expect too many things from them. The home side managed to get only a draw in the first group match, 0-0 away against Partizan. Kyle Walker will miss this match, being injured.
Besiktas Istanbul are coming after five games in a row without defeat. They played nine competitive games this season so far, ticking four victories, four draws and only one defeat, 0-1 against Arsenal in UCL play-off. The turkish team will field a 4-2-3-1 formation with Demba Ba in the attack. They will have no missing players, only Pektemek being in doubt due to an injury.
Tottenham vs Besiktas probable lineups:
Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Vorm – Dier, Fazio, Chiriches, Davies – Stambouli, Bentaleb – Lennon, Kane, Townsend – Soldado.
Besiktas (4-2-3-1): Zengin – Koybasi, Franco, Sivok, Ramon – Hutchinson, Kavlak – Tore, Ozyakup, Sahan – Ba.
Prediction: Besiktas +1.5 AH @ 1.50
Considering that Besiktas have a strong defence at first view and Tottenham will rest some of their important players, we expect a tight game and we think that the away side will not lose with more than one goal difference.
The best odds for Tottenham vs Besiktas: 1.67- 3.80 – 6.00
