Tranmere V Everton: Tips and prediction – 22.07.2014

By on July 22, 2014
Everton will start the preparation for the next season today against Tranmere Rovers, this game being the first friendly for the scouser this summer so far. The first kick will take place at 07:45 pm.

Tranmere Rovers have played in League One last season, the third division in England, but the home team didn’t manage to avoid relegation, finishind on 21th place, the first under the red line. After three friendlies so far we can’t say that Tranmere is in a good form. They have won the first game, 5-0 against Cammell Laird, but after that they have lost against teams like Rhyl, 1-3 and Marine, 1-2, all these three games being played away.

Everton is a much better team from every point of view and without any doubts. Barkley and his team-mates will have to take a revenge for the humiliation 13 years ago in FA Cup. Everton is at the first friendly match of the summer and this could be a disadvantage at first view. Bet365 sees the team from Liverpool with the first chance, the odds being around 1.36 at the moment for their victory.

As we said, evertonians were humiliated 13 years ago in FA cup by Tranmere, losing 0-3 on Goodison Park in fornt of their own fans.

Prediction: 2 @ 1.36
It is hard to think that Everton could have some problems against a League Two side and we expect the blues to win this game without any emotions, the odds being very attractive right now.
The best odds for Tranmere vs Everton: 6.50 – 4.75 – 1.36
