Valencia v Espanyol: Tips and prediction – 14.09.2014
By tipsterbets on September 14, 2014
Valencia and Espanyol will be face to face Sunday afternoon from 16:00, the home side being in pole-position at bookmakers. This game is part of the thirds fixture of Spain Primera Division.
Valencia are in a very good form after two games in La Liga, ticking one draw and one victory. With four points and a 4-1 goal difference, Valencia is on the second place right now, two points behind Barcelona. They will field a 4-2-3-1 formation, Alcacer being announced as the main striker, supported from behind by Piatti, Gomes and Feghouli. Valencia will be without Mustafi (injured), De Paul (suspended) and Negred is not 100% fit.
Espanyol didn’t start very well this new campaign. They drew in the first round against Almeria, 1-1 away, and after that they were defeated by Sevilla, 1-2 at home. With only one point, the catalans are the first under the red line at the moment. Like their opponents, the guests will field a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Caicedo the main striker.
Valencia have struggled against Espanyol in the last season. They drew on Mestalla, 2-2 after they have lost in Barcelona, 1-3 away.
Valencia vs Espanyol probable lineups:
Valencia (4-2-3-1): Alves – Barragan, Otamendi, Vezo, Gaya – Parejo, Fuego – Feghouli, Gomes, Piatti – Alcacer
Espanyol (4-2-3-1): Casilla – Lopez, Colotto, Gonzalez, Alvarez – Sanchez, Abraham – Stuani, Sevilla, Montanes – Caicedo

Espanyol (4-2-3-1): Casilla – Lopez, Colotto, Gonzalez, Alvarez – Sanchez, Abraham – Stuani, Sevilla, Montanes – Caicedo
Prediction: 1 @ 1.62
Valencia are in very good form, as we said, and we expect them to win the all three points on the own ground. Espanyol have lost five of the last six games on Mestalla.
The best odds for Liverpool vs Aston Villa: 1.30 – 6.00 – 11.00
