Vidal wary of deceptive Dortmund

Borrusia Dortmund have endured a poor season but one thing that continues to baffle pundits is the fact that the club somehow manage to grind out better results at the continental level. Jurgen Klopp will lead his men out to face high flying Italian giants, Juventus. In a sharp contrast to what the German outfit have faced, the Old Lady are in a commanding lead of the Serie A with 11 points ahead of their closest rivals, AS Roma.

Despite the contrast, Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal is wary of the German outfit and believes that their poor season could serve as motivation for them to shock the Serie A side. Several times this season, Klopp’s men have shown that their frail status at home this season need not translate to the Champions League and were able to qualify behind Arsenal in the group phase.

The German side will make the trip to Turin on Tuesday and despite their appalling outing back in Germany, many bookmakers are not writing them off from shocking the hosts. Vidal himself believes that Dortmund still possess a significant level of speed and technical ability required to face Juventus at the highest level of European soccer.

While speaking to the Kicker, the highly sort after midfielder revealed that the woes that the German side have had to endure for the greater part of this season is a major reason why Juventus need to tread with caution. He added that the visitors will attempt to display a different energy level from the one that is evident in the Bundesliga. While noting that the strength of the German side does not rest in a single individual but with the entire team, the midfielder believes that their pace and strength can really hurt the hosts.

More so, Dortmund do not have much to prove, however, Juventus who are the toast of all Italy really have to maintain a standard.
