Villarreal vs Bilbao: Tips and prediction – 17.01.2015

By on January 17, 2015
One of the most interesting games in Primera Division 19th fixture will take plaec Saturday evening from 19:00 (UK Time) and will put face to face Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao. The situations for these two sides are very different right now.
Villarreal are in an excellent form, being unbeaten in their last 14 competitive games. More than that, they have six wins and a draw in the last six matches in front of their own fans. The home side is on the 6th position in La Liga, with 32 points and a 30-17 goal difference. It is very hard to believe that the hosts are not thinking at the 4th spot, but they have four points less than Sevilla at the moment. Bojan Jokic is the only missing player for the home team.
Athletic Bilbao showed us that they could be back in business few weeks ago, but their form decreased once again so they are still struggling in the bottom half of the table. The bascs are on the 13th position right now, with only 19 points, being on the dissapointing list this stage in Primera Division, considering that they finished 4th last season. Iker Muniain will not travel with his team due to a suspension, while Aketxe and Guillermo are in doubt.
Villarreal vs Bilbao probable lineups:
Villarreal (4-4-2): Asenjo – Mario, Ruiz, Paulista, Costa – Gomez, Bruno, Trigueros, Cheryshev – Uche, Santos.
Bilbao (4-2-3-1): Iraizoz – Iraola, Etxeita, Laporte, Balenziaga – Iturraspe, Rico – Susaeta, Marcos, Gomez – Aduriz.
