Wales V Cyprus: Tips and prediction – 13.10.2014

By on October 13, 2014
Monday evening we will see a very interesting game in the Group B of Euro 2016 Qualifications between Wales and Cyprus. The match will start at 19:45, UK Time, and the home team is in pole-position if we take a look at the odds.

Wales are leading the group after the first two games, with four points won against Andorra (1-2 away) and Bosnia (0-0 home). Bale and his teammates have on point ahead of Belgium, but Hazard & co have a match in hand. We expect a 4-1-3-2 formation from the welsh, with Bale and Church in the attack as we saw three days ago against Bosnia.

Cyprus will try to get at least one point in a match like this, but their mission won’t be an easy one. The away team won the first game, 1-2 against Bosnia away, but after that they were defeated by Israel on their own ground, 1-2. With three points and a 3-3 goal difference, the cypriots are on the fourth place at the moment.

The last time when these two sides were face to face happened at Euro 2008 Qualifications. They shared the points equally, both teams winning the home game.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.44
We consider that the home team has a stronger squad, with players like Gareth Bale in the first eleven. More than that, Wales will have the advantage of the home pitch.
The best odds for Wales vs Cyprus: 1.44 – 4.50 – 9.00
