West Ham vs Arsenal: Tips and prediction – 28.12.2014

By on December 28, 2014
Two London teams will be face to face today from 15:00 in the 19th fixture of Barclays Premier League. To be more precise, Arsenal will face West Ham United away, and the gunners mission won’t be an easy one.
The home side was one of the most surprising teams this campaign, proof that they are still fighting for a Champions League place after 18 fixtures. Bis Sam’s team is in on the 5th position right now, with 31 points, being ahead of teams like Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool or Everton. Carl Jenkinson is ineligible, being loaned from Arsenal, while James Tomkins is in doubt and he could miss the match.
Arsenal are coming without five important players. Ozil, Arteta, Wilshere and Ramsey are injured, while Olivier Giroud is suspended. Wenger’s team is only on the 6th place at the moment, with 30 points and a 32-22 goal difference, having the 4th attack in the league. They need a victory here and Soton to lose so they will go on the 4th place in Premier League, the last one the goes in Champions League.
West Ham vs Arsenal probable lineups:

West Ham (4-3-1-2): Adrian – Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell – Noble, Song, Amalfitano – Downing – Carroll, Sakho.
Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Szczesny – Chambers, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Gibbs – Flamini, Coquelin – Sanchez, Rosicky, Cazorla – Welbeck.
Prediction: West Ham +1.0 AH @ 1.38
Altough the odds are not the best, we consider that this is a safe bet. We chose to bet on West Ham getting at least one point, but if they will lose by a margin of only one goal, then our money will be refunded.
The best odds for West Ham vs Arsenal: 3.60 – 3.60 – 2.15
