World Cup Final: Brazil v Netherlands: Tips and prediction – 12.07.2014

By on July 12, 2014
Brazil and Netherlands will fight today from 09:00 pm for the third place at FIFA World Cup 2014. If we take a look at the odds, we can say that Brazil starts with the first chance to win this game, but it will not be easy for Silva & co.

Brazil lived the bigger humiliation in their history, 1-7 against Germany in front of their own fans, being stopped from their way to the big final. The home side is still without the top scorer, Neymar, the winger being injured, but the good news is that Thiago Silva will return after his suspension. Jo is announced as the main striker, while Willian and Ramires will start on the flanks, with Oscar behind the striker.

Netherlands have lost the chance to play the final against Germany, being eliminated by Argentina in Semi Final after penalties. Van Gaal will not change too much and he will field a 3-4-1-2 formation again, with the same trio in attack, Sneijder behind van Persie and Robben. Netherlands will not have any missing player, but Ron Vlaar is not 100% fit and he is not in the first eleven right now.

Netherlands won against Brazil at the last World Cup, in 2010, 2-1 in Quarter Finals. After that they met again in a friendly match next year, 0-0 in Brazil.

Prediction: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.53
We expect both sides to enter on the pitch and their main target to be the victory. That will help them to forget a little about the Semi Finals. Both teams have quality in attack so we expect them to score in this game.
The best odds for Brazil vs Netherlands: 2.15 – 3.90 – 3.30
